May 1 - High School Athletic Banquet
May 5 - High School Academic Banquet
May 8 - High School Band Banquet
Banquets will be held at the Elementary Cafeteria and will begin at 6pm.

Shout out to the Lady Eagles Softball Team. They showed up this morning to greet our elementary students and they were so excited to see them. Thank you to the coaches and the team for starting our day in an AWESOME way.
Each year, one National History Day teacher from the state of Arkansas is awarded the Fountain-Landreth Award in recognition for outstanding work with NHD students. This year, the award was presented to Mrs. Robin English from Des Arc High School at the Region 8 competition. The official presentation of the award will be made at the State Competition at UCA in Conway on April 5th. All of Des Arc's NHD students also placed at the Regional Competition and will be moving forward to compete in the State Competition.

The deadline to turn in forms for the Miss DA Schools Pageant is 3:15 this afternoon. The pageant will be at 10:00 in the morning at the Des Arc First United Methodist Family Life Center.
Lots of door prizes will be given away. Gift baskets will be awarded to the 7-12 grade divisions valued at $150-300. We hope to see you there!

Attention Parents and Student athletes, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 The Pruitt Agency with ArCare will be providing free physicals for our student athletes. The physicals will take place at Des Arc High school gym from 8:30-12:00. In order for your athlete to be provided the free physical, you must complete the required online form. https://arcare.jotform.com/210705598388164
If you have a 6th Grade student going into 7th grade, they will be bused to the High School gym for their physical and will be bused back. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Brandon Barbaree at barbareeb@desarcschools.org
Tomorrow, 2/25, all Juniors will be taking the ACT at First Baptist Church. Students should report to First Baptist at 7:45am and they will not be permitted to bring anything into the building. Pizza will be provided for lunch along with snacks. Once they are done testing they will be allowed to go home. (Testing should conclude around noon).
Today is the last day for early entry in the Miss Des Arc Schools pageant. Late entry will be available until 3:30, Friday, February 28th.
$200, $100, and $50 scholarships will be given in the 11th-12th grade division.
Lots of door prizes will be given away. We hope to see you March 1st, 10:00, at DA First United Methodist Church!
Des Arc Girls Basketball Team defeats Palestine Wheatley and will play in the semifinal game against Barton tomorrow at 12:00. This also secures the girls a spot in the Regional tournament hosted by Barton next week. Congratulations and go Eagles!
