We have around thirty pieces of the old basketball court that we have stored in the old home ec building. We will no longer be able to store them due to the remodel of the building and have decided to give them away. If anyone would like to have a piece of the old court, call the superintendent's office, high school or maintenance and we will meet you at the building and you can pick it up. We have to have it out of the building by the end of next week.

The Battle of the Prairie is happening on September 6th at Hazen this year, and we are calling on the community to donate canned goods and non-perishable items for the Battle of the Prairie Food Drive. With only a month left to collect items, we hope to surpass last year's totals of 6,114 items collected by Des Arc and 3,257 items collected by Hazen. All donations will go towards supporting the local food bank in Prairie County, which many families rely on for their daily needs. Donation points have been set up at the high school and elementary school. More locations will be announced soon. The cutoff for donations will be at noon on September 6th.
The HS Art class would love to have any sports or hunting magazines that you’d like to get rid of. 🙂

As we start the new school year, I just wanted to take the time to brag on our student/athletes that you are gonna watch this fall. These young women and men work hard not only on the field but in the classroom.

Sr. High Football Practice is cancelled for tomorrow, Monday August 5th. We will still have Jr. High Practice from 12-1:30.

Thursday and Friday: Sr. High and Jr. High 8-10:30 AM

DAHS incoming 7th graders: We will have a brief orientation at 5:45 in the high school gym for all 7th graders and their parents Thursday, Aug. 8th. Open House will be directly after at 6:00 pm for everyone. Please share! Thank you.

Supply Fee for students in Kg, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th is $40
5th and 6th supplies needed are as follows: 2 - 1 1/2 inch 3 ring binders, 2 pkgs of loose leaf notebook paper, 2 composition notebooks, 4 expo markers, 12 pencils, highlighters, 8-10 tab dividers, pencil bag, ear buds or headphones (NO Bluetooth - Must be wired to plug in to chromebook)

Des Arc PreK, Elementary, and High School will host Open House on Thursday, August 8th from 6:00-8:00. Students and parents can come meet their child's teacher, update paperwork, register new students, and pay supply fees. We look forward to seeing everyone 💚🦅

Thur, Aug 1st - 11th & 12th Grade Registration. *Times each day are 8:30a - 11:00a and 12:30p - 2:30p. Registration will be in the high school cafeteria. This is for ALL students. You must register to receive your schedule. Please know that all forms must be filled out completely to receive your schedule. Returning students: On or after July 22nd, you may come pick up your packet early to fill out and bring to registration with you. The offices are closed on Fridays during the summer. Thur, Aug. 8th -OPEN HOUSE for both campuses from 6p - 8p. Tues, Aug. 13th - First Day of School. We're excited for a great 2024-2025 school year!
The best offensive line in 2A had our lineman challenge at Buffalo Wild Wings today. The winner..Cole Hunt with 35 wings. Also 283 total wings consumed.
