The forecast for Des Arc is calling for heavy snow starting this Thursday extending through Friday. Initially, the snow for Thursday was supposed to start around 5:00 pm but has changed a few time since then. I heard 3:00 and now I believe it has changed to 12:00 noon on Thursday.
If the forecast holds true, we should be able to make a call for Friday in the early evening on Thursday. However, Thursday will be tougher to call. At this time, we plan to attend the entire day on Thursday. If the weather comes in early, we may have to dismiss early. At this time, please be prepared for the possibility of Des Arc Schools being closed on Friday and a possible early release on Thursday. TO BE CLEAR, no call has been made at this point for either day. If we do have to miss, students will not be required to do any work from home and we will not have to make up the day due to our current calendar having built-in snow days.
